The Plant Pole Co.

2.5' Bendable Moss Pole

Compatibility note

The Bendable Moss Pole uses a standard exterior moss wrap and is watered directly on the surface. It is not compatible with the Hydration Core's internal channel system — the two series use different core constructions. If you plan to upgrade later, start with the Hydration Core series.

Install Guide

1

Soak the moss pole

Before installation, submerge the pole in water for 10–15 minutes. This pre-saturates the moss and makes it easier for aerial roots to attach immediately.

2

Insert the stake into the pot

Push the included mounting stake firmly into the soil, close to the base of your plant. Position it so the pole will sit upright and central to the plant's growth direction.

3

Shape the pole

Gently bend the flexible core to match your plant's current growth direction. The pole holds its shape — you can adjust it at any time without removing it from the pot.

4

Guide stems and aerial roots

Use soft ties or clips to loosely attach stems to the pole. Don't force aerial roots — they will attach naturally as the moss stays moist.

5

Water regularly

Mist or pour water directly onto the moss surface to keep it consistently moist. Aerial roots attach best to moss that is never allowed to fully dry out.

Pro Tips

  • Pre-soaking is the single most important step — dry moss repels water and slows aerial root attachment.
  • Avoid tying stems too tightly. Loose guidance is enough; the plant will do the rest.
  • If the pole dries out between waterings, a quick mist is enough to reactivate it.
  • The flexible core can be reshaped at any time — useful as your plant changes direction.
